Course Description

This course features a recorded webinar, "Drafting in the Age of AI", held on 13 November 2025. This is part 2 of a two-part programme.

Synopsis:

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the practice of law. Beyond automating research and document review, AI tools are increasingly being used in legal drafting, creating document summaries, chronologies and even legal marketing materials - helping lawyers generate first drafts of contracts, court documents, opinions, correspondence, and internal notes with greater speed and consistency. These tools offer powerful opportunities, but also raise questions about accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.

In this webinar, you will learn how to evaluate a provider and product from the gamut of Gen AI offerings available with particular emphasis on their use in drafting; and explore the policies and protocols that should be put in place within a law firm. This webinar will equip legal professionals with a practical framework for adopting AI tools responsibly and effectively. Not all AI tools are complex or costly; anyone can use AI to improve productivity. Participants will also walk away with clear criteria for evaluating different tools, protocols for safeguarding client trust in the drafted output, and strategies for training staff and monitoring usage over time.

The session is suitable for anyone interested in Gen AI and drafting.
